After much debate, arguments and even a couple fist fights, the contest has finally been called!   Out of about 400 entries, guest judge Maile Meloy picked the story “Objets du Desir” by Marc J. Sheehan of Grand Haven, Michigan. His story will be read on the closing night of Selected Shorts on stage at Symphony Space in New York, June 6th.  There is a rumor that  Marc is going to attend.  Can’t wait to meet you, Marc.  And thanks to everyone who entered!

The 2013 writing contest theme will be “Complicated Families”  with  judge writer/performer David Rakoff, who seems to know a thing or two about the theme.  More information coming soon.
